Usage and quotas
The booking API is metered by searches. Everything after a search is free, and every ticket you sell gives searches back.
What a call costs
1
One search
A search that reaches the supplier
0
Free
Everything after the search, and a search the cache answers.
- The same search again within 10 minutes (offer cache)
- Price
- Fare rules
- Hold
- Ticket
- Purchase
A search that fails, at the supplier or on validation, is refunded straight away.
Tiers
Each tier is an add-on beside the flights add-on. Prices are on the add-ons page in Lydira; switching tier takes effect at once.

When you hit a limit
402search_quota_exhausted
The month and the wallet are both empty; the answer says when the month renews.
429rate_limited
Too many searches this minute on this key; wait out Retry-After.
Price and rules have their own ceiling, 3 times the search ceiling. Polls of a call's answer cost no unit and count into their own budget, 10 times the tier's rate. Each key counts on its own, so one website cannot slow another.
Reading the quota
- X-Search-Quota-Remaining
- Searches left, the wallet included.
- X-Search-Quota-Reset
- UTC epoch second the month renews.
Next to the usual X-RateLimit-* headers. Read them on a call's final answer: the 202 shows the balance before a search is charged. Per-key counts are on Settings → API keys.
